About GITMS!
Global Institute of Tourism and Management Studies is a tertiary Training Institute based in the Heart of Nairobi City in Uniafric House 3rd floor. The Institute began its operations in View Park Towers with only seven students, later on moved to Uniafric House due to the increasing population of students.
The Institute was found by professionals in various fields who teamed up to bring a new face in the Training Industry in Kenya. These professionals were from the Travel and Tourism Industry, Media Industry, Airline Industry, Public Relations, Information Technology, Accounting and Finance. All had teaching experience of over 5 years.

The Institute operational activities are overseen by Board of Directors. The day-by-day operational activities are handled by Dr. Indago Nandi who is the Managing Director/Director of Studies. Dr. Indago Nandi is a seasoned professional in Travel and Tourism and Airline Industries. He is a qualified senior management IATA/UFTAA Instructor with a wide range of managerial experience in Travel and Training Industsries. |
He is assisted by Mr. Geoffrey Gatimu, an Airline professional with high skills in the field.
The main objective of Global Institute of Tourism and Management Studies is to Train professionals in all areas of management for the Global Market. The Travel Industry is very dynamic, Tourism being a key sector for the Kenya Economy. There is need for Human Resource in this sector. GITMS aims at producing marketable professionals for the Kenyan and Global Market for this sector. Tourism Related Courses are the backbone of the Institute. By now we have released several students working with various International Airliners and Local Reputable Travel Firms.
The Business Department Trainees Individual with finer points required for any business to achieve its goals, liquidity and profitability. To spice up training, the Institute offers free Computer Studies and Foreign Languages to all students. The world has become a Global Village in Information Technology with the ability to communicate well and can not be disregarded. Infact it has become the cutting edge.
All students are equipped with Entrepreneurial Skills. This enables our graduates to step outside ready to begin their business. We train employers but not employees.
