SCHOOL OF HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT


The Hotel Management aims to provide students with a broad understanding Of the operational aspects of the international hotel industry, and knowledge of the underlying management principles involved. This program has been devised on the basis that students will attend a course of study of not less than 1 year up to advanced Diploma [450hours]


CERTIFICATE IN HOTEL AND CATERING SUPERVISION

COURSE CONTENTS
  1. Fundamentals of hotel and catering industry
  2. House keeping and accommodation studies
  3. Restaurant services
  4. Front office operations and Administration

On completion of the above subjects student are awarded Certificate in Hotel and Catering Supervision


ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

COURSE CONTENTS
  1. Strategic Management in Hospitality
  2. Customer service
  3. Economics and hospitality
  4. Organizational Behavior and Hospitality Management
  5. Environmental Management in the Hospitality industry

On completion of the above subject’s student are awarded Advanced Diploma in Hotel and catering Management. Students who complete Advanced Diploma examination will have reached a level equivalent to the first year of hospitality management examinations.


ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

The Associate Degree in Hospitality Management is awarded on completion of the above levels I, II, and III and a 6000 word work or industrial based research project.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT (MEAN GRADE D+)
COURSE DURATION (2 YEARS AND 6 months Industrial Attachment)
AWARDS: - Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma And Associate Degree From ICM. Exams are held in March, June September and December.

We have extensive resources available to some industry department who require modified or customer made short courses to suite the specific practicle training needs of stundents or staff. Each course is preceded by a needs analysis and consultation througout the process to ensure the training meets education and business needs. we can offer the training at individual place of work or at our college; the courses are:-
